As July comes rushing in, I want to ask each of you to take time to cultivate slowness, and to connect to the world around you. We often value speed over slowness. We rush around, texting while we are talking to a dear friend, and sending e-mails while eating (you know you are all guilty of at least one of these!).

We try to get as much as possible accomplished in a short time. We multitask endlessly because we adhere to the values of efficiency and productivity, over meaningful connections. What if, for just this month, even just one day, we decide to value slowness. A slowness that allows us to savor our food, to connect more deeply with the people around us, to listen better, to look at our surroundings as we move through the month/each day…
Please take the time this month to cultivate slowness, to connect more meaningfully with your friends, family, and the world.

Hugs to you and your families.
